Ingredients
2 whole Eggs1⁄2 cup Milk
pinch Salt
1 tablespoon Sugar
1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
1 teaspoon Ground Cinnamon
1⁄4 teaspoon Ground Nutmeg
2 tablespoons Butter
Directions
- In a shallow, flat-bottomed container big enough for one bread slice, mix all the ingredients except the bread and butter.
- Over medium-low flame, heat some butter in a skillet or on a griddle.
- One at a time, dip both sides of the bread in the egg mixture. Place on skillet or griddle.
- In batches, cook until golden brown, turning once. Transfer to the warmed platter in the oven. Repeat until all are cooked.
